"Painter, paint"

Salvador Dali

I live in a seaside town with my husband and two energetic young boys.

Working as a qualified Veterinary Nurse and Lifeguard Trainer I decided to leave work after my second son was born and be a stay at home Mum which I loved. I had only practiced art at an amateur level but it was something I had interwoven into my life for as long as I can remember. While the children were very young I had found finding the time, space & energy to create difficult. Once they became a little more independent I made the decision, in 2018, to return to art and make it a full time practice. I am embracing every window of opportunity in my studio (even when I am sitting & drinking coffee staring at a blank canvas!!!).

Being a part of a community where surfing & swimming is a lifestyle hugely influences my work. I am also fascinated with the human figure & anatomy & have studied drawing the figure from life over many years.

As a self taught artist I am in a constant practice to develop my style & improve how I portrait my vision. I have always been at my most grounded self when I am creating.
